Clinical endoscopic imageIn 2014 we reported on the utility of OTSC to anchor fully-covered SEMS in the esophagus to prevent their migration (1). We also provided a safe technique to remove the OTSC and the stent once it was not needed any more (see images).

A newly developed OTSC system is easier to deploy and also smaller size, making it an ideal anchoring device for fcSEMS. In a case series, Massimo Conio et al demonstrated its safety and efficacy. This clip should be in the toolbox of every interventional endoscopist.
